What makes KOVA leashes different?
KOVA leashes are made from climbing rope designed for real-world durability. Each rope is crafted from either 100% recycled fibers (3R) or fiber scraps rescued from rope production (2R). With extra-durable hardware and lifetime repairs, these leashes are made to last for years.
Why climbing rope?
Climbing rope is engineered to withstand friction, force, and exposure. It’s strong, flexible, weather-resistant, and built for unpredictable conditions, exactly what dog owners need on every walk, hike, and adventure.
What’s the difference between the Adventure Leash and the Roam Leash?
Adventure Leash — made using rescued fiber scraps from rope production (2R).
Roam Leash — made from 100% recycled rope (3R).
Both offer the same strength, durability, and lifetime repair guarantee.
What’s the difference between leash lengths?
KOVA leashes come in three lengths to fit different adventures:
6 ft — everyday walks and open trails; gives your dog room to roam.
4 ft — a balanced, versatile length for most situations.
2 ft (Traffic Length) — for crowded areas, training, or when you need extra control close to your side.
All lengths use the same climbing-grade rope, durable hardware, and lifetime-repair guarantee.
What is your Lifetime Repair program?
If your leash ever breaks, frays excessively, or the hardware fails, send it to us. We’ll repair it at no cost. Keeping gear in circulation is better for the planet (and your wallet).
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
Yes. If your leash isn’t right for you, we accept returns within 30 days in like-new condition. Exchanges are free.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes all U.S. orders ship free, always.
How long will my order take to ship?
Orders typically ship within 2–3 business days. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as it’s on the way.
Do dogs of all sizes use KOVA leashes?
Yes. Our climbing-grade rope and durable hardware make KOVA ideal for small, medium, and large dogs, especially strong pullers.
How does your donation program work?
For every 20 leashes sold, we donate one to local shelters and rescue organizations. It’s our way of supporting dogs and the people who care for them.
How do I care for my KOVA leash?
Our leashes are built to handle the elements, but a little care goes a long way. Regular care helps your leash last for years.
Hand-wash with mild detergent and warm water.
Rinse thoroughly and let it air-dry completely before your next walk.
Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, or high heat, they can weaken rope fibers over time.
For dirt or mud, a soft brush works great once the rope has dried.
